Strategic Review of the Student Visa Australia Program

In December 2010 a strategic review of Australia’s student visa program was conducted. The results of this report were released in September 2011. There were 41 important recommendations, which have been progressively implemented.

On December 1, 2011, the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship announced that the post study work arrangements would be extended from 2013.  This means that for eligible graduates who complete their degrees after at least two years study in Australia, there will be the potential for post-study work arrangements.
